Moved to Alaska just before her 17th birthday.
Her first race was a small local race in 1978.  She won first place!

Libby was featured on a float in the Tournament of Roses parade on Jan 1, 2009!
The float called "Celebrating Alaska - Spirit of the Wild," won the parade's award for the best depiction of life in the U.S.  It was sponsored by the Anchorage Convention and Visitor Bureau.
